Financial Aid 101 Webinar - Tuesday, September 23 from 9:00-10:30am
This free webinar is for newer High School, Access, TRiO, and AmeriCorps counselors, as well as any brand new admissions or financial aid counselors. If you are in your first several years assisting high school students through the paying for college process, this webinar will provide an overview of the financial aid programs available to students. The steps that students must take in pursuing financial aid their senior year of high school will also be covered.
FAFSA Line-by-Line Webinar
OASFAA will complete a line-by-line 2026-27 FAFSA during our counselor workshop offered later this fall. A recording will be available after the virtual Counselor Workshop webinar.
Financial Aid 201 Webinar
With students beginning to receive award letters later this year, families will be asking how to pay for college. This webinar will cover topics such as Ohio FAFSA numbers for the Class of 2026, reviewing aid offers, verification, financial aid appeals for special circumstances and borrowing options available to families. Share the word with your colleagues and bring your financial aid questions.

Looking for a financial aid night presentation? OASFAA's Outreach Committee recorded this for you to share with students and families who may be looking for a general financial aid overview. Schools are also welcome to use recording at an information night if no financial aid presenter is available. (FAAs, slides coming soon.)

OASFAA will offer 9 in-person Counselor Workshop and one virtual workshop. These workshops will focus on line-by-line completion of the 2026-27 FAFSA. We will do a deep dive on the FSA ID, federal student aid programs, verification, state aid programs, award letter review and resources available to counselors for assisting students and families with the financial aid process. Come join us, network with your colleagues and bring your financial aid questions. The general timeframe for this event is 9 am - Noon. It may vary by site so please check your confirmation from your site coordinator.
